We’re pretty fussy about what leaves KLAS.

Every KLAS Car Keeper and Figure Keeper normally has to meet our high quality standards before we’ll send it out as a full-price product.

However, not every protector makes the cut.

Occasionally, we find protectors that might pop open or with light scratches, scuffs, small marks, creases, dents or other cosmetic manufacturing imperfections.

They’re often far too good to throw away.

They’re simply not quite good enough for us to sell as a perfect KLAS protector.

That’s why we’ve created our KLAS B-Grade Protector Cases.

Too Good to Bin. Not Good Enough for Full Price.

B-Grade KLAS protectors give collectors the opportunity to pick up genuine Car Keepers and Figure Keepers at substantially reduced prices.

The cosmetic condition won’t be perfect.

However, the protector can still do exactly what many collectors need it to do — help protect carded cars, figures and collectibles from dust, scratches, handling and everyday knocks.

As a result, they’re ideal when protection matters more than presentation.

What Does B-Grade Mean?

Our B-Grade protectors are genuine KLAS protectors that haven’t passed our high quality-control standards.

Imperfections can vary from case to case and may include:

• Light scratches, scuffs or surface marks.
• Small dents or creases.
• Forming imperfections or slight distortion.
• Manufacturing marks or bubbles.
• A closure that doesn’t hold as securely as we require from our standard KLAS protectors — nothing that a little tape can’t easily fix 😉
  
• Other cosmetic or minor functional imperfections.
• ♻️ Cracked or genuinely unusable cases are always recycled and will NEVER be sold or sent to customers as B-Grade stock.

Some protectors may have only a small cosmetic mark, while others may have several imperfections. In reality, most really aren’t that bad — they simply don’t meet the standard we require to sell them as A-Grade KLAS protectors.

Every B-Grade protector will also have a small hole punched next to the hanger hole. We add this ourselves so that B-Grade stock can always be clearly distinguished from our standard full-price KLAS protectors.

The hole punch does not indicate additional damage — it is simply our permanent B-Grade identification mark.

Because the condition varies, please do not purchase B-Grade protectors expecting pristine cases or the same fit, finish and closure as our standard KLAS range.

They’re offered specifically as an affordable option where protection and storage matter more than perfection.

Perfect for Storage, Traders and Large Collections

Not every collectible needs to sit under perfect showroom lighting.

B-Grade protectors are particularly useful for collectors who have large collections stored in boxes, cupboards or stock rooms.

They’re also a great option for:

Collectors with duplicate cars or figures, traders storing stock, toy-fair sellers, resellers, large private collections and anyone looking for affordable everyday protection.

In addition, they can be a very cost-effective way to protect dozens of collectibles at once.

These aren’t a separate cheap version of our protector.

They’re genuine KLAS Car Keepers and Figure Keepers that haven’t quite met our high cosmetic standard.

That distinction matters.

We haven’t deliberately reduced the quality or thickness of the material to create a cheaper product.

Instead, you’re buying otherwise usable KLAS protectors that we don’t feel comfortable selling at full retail price.

Better for Your Collection. Better Than Throwing Them Away.

We manufacture a lot of protectors.

Naturally, that means some cases will occasionally come through production with cosmetic imperfections.

Throwing every usable protector away simply because it has a scratch or small mark doesn’t make much sense.

By offering them as B-Grade stock, we can reduce waste while giving collectors access to useful protection at a much lower price.

We reduce waste.

And a perfectly usable protector gets to do the job it was made for.

B-Grade Stock Changes Constantly

Unlike our standard KLAS range, B-Grade stock isn’t manufactured intentionally. We don’t set out to make B-Grade cases! 😂

We simply make available protectors that don’t quite meet our high quality-control standards but are still perfectly suitable for B-Grade use.

Therefore, quantities and protector types will change regularly.

Some styles may be available one week and completely unavailable the next.

When it’s gone, it’s gone — because we don’t manufacture B-Grade protectors.

Important B-Grade Information

Please remember that these products are sold specifically as B-Grade clearance stock.

Cosmetic imperfections are expected and are reflected in the reduced selling price.

Marks, scratches, scuffs, small dents, creases and similar imperfections should therefore be considered a normal characteristic of this product.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
